BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 10. Washington, D.C. is hosting a meeting between Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov, and his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan, TurkicWorld reports.
"Within the framework of NATO75 Summit, Azerbaijan-Armenia negotiations on the agreement on peace and establishment of interstate relations between the two countries have just started in Washington D.C. with the participation of Foreign Ministers Jeyhun Bayramov and Ararat Mirzoyan at the initiative and with the participation of U.S. State Secretary Antony Blinken," Azerbaijani MFA wrote on its page on X.
The NATO summit, featuring 32 NATO member countries, partner nations, and the European Union, will take place in Washington, D.C., from July 9 to 11.
The summit, themed "Ukraine and Transatlantic Security," also marks NATO's 75th anniversary. Seventy-five years ago, 12 countries gathered in Washington to sign the North Atlantic Treaty.
