EU Parliament's resolution unjustified - Azerbaijani MFA

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 26. This step is nothing but a blatant political order of several European forces aimed at further deterioration of relations with Azerbaijan, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Aykhan Hajizada said, TurkicWorld reports.

He made the remark in response to a question from local media about the European Parliament's resolution of April 25, 2024.

"The automatic adoption of such unilateral and biased resolutions without adequate assessment has long been a common phenomenon for the European Parliament.

This step is nothing but a blatant political order of several European forces aimed at further deterioration of relations with Azerbaijan.

In such an environment, certain members of the European Parliament, guided by their internal considerations and personal interests, are simply busy promoting a distorted picture of the situation in Azerbaijan.

The purpose of those who advocate the adoption of such documents is also to divert attention from the acute socio-economic and political problems of European society.

Moreover, urging sanctions against Azerbaijan only complicates relations between Azerbaijan and the European Union.

Once again, we urge the European Parliament to stop interfering in the internal affairs and judicial processes of Azerbaijan," he said.
