BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 15. Ilham Aliyev has been officially put forth as a candidate for the early presidential elections by the New Azerbaijan Party, TurkicWorld reports.
The decision on this was made at today's extended meeting of the New Azerbaijan Party leadership.
On December 7, President Ilham Aliyev issued a decree declaring early presidential elections in Azerbaijan, slated to be held on February 7, 2024.
