BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 24. Iran supports peace negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said at a meeting of foreign ministers within the “3+3” format, TurkicWorld reports.
"The participation of the countries of the region in this aspect is important to simplify the process of a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Mechanisms outside the region have deprived the peoples of the region of peace for almost 30 years. The time has come for our states to use the opportunities within the region to ensure the interests of their peoples,” the minister said.
A meeting in the "3+3" format with the participation of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Russia, Türkiye, Armenia - Jeyhun Bayramov, Sergey Lavrov, Hakan Fidan and Ararat Mirzoyan began in Tehran.
The first meeting in the "3 + 3" format took place last year in Moscow.
