BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 26. Apple will hold its next major product launch event on September 9, with the company expected to introduce its newest iPhone lineup and potentially unveil its long-awaited first foldable iPhone.
Senior Apple executive Greg Joswiak announced the date in a post on X, setting the stage for one of the company’s most closely watched product events of the year.
Particular attention is expected to focus on a possible foldable iPhone, which could represent one of the most significant changes to Apple’s smartphone portfolio in years.
Analysts expect premium foldable devices to help increase Apple’s average selling prices and potentially contribute to stronger profit margins.
A foldable iPhone would also place Apple in more direct competition with Samsung Electronics, which has established a strong position in the growing foldable smartphone segment.
The event is also expected to mark a significant leadership milestone for Apple. According to the report, John Ternus is set to become chief executive on September 1, while Tim Cook will transition to the role of executive chairman.
