BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 26. Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia Valentina Matviyenko called First Vice-President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva on August 26 to congratulate her on her birthday.
The Press Service of the President of Azerbaijan reported on the telephone conversation.
Matviyenko congratulated Mehriban Aliyeva on her birthday and wished the Azerbaijani first vice-president good health and further success.
During the conversation, the Russian Federation Council chairwoman warmly recalled her meetings with Mehriban Aliyeva.
Matviyenko also highlighted the role of Azerbaijan’s first vice-president in the development of friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Russia.
Mehriban Aliyeva expressed gratitude to Valentina Matviyenko for her attention and birthday wishes.
The conversation also reflected the personal contacts maintained between senior officials of Azerbaijan and Russia amid continuing bilateral relations between the two countries.
