BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 13. On March 12, a productive meeting was held between Anar Guliyev, Chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture of Azerbaijan, and Anacláudia Rossbach, Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat).
During the meeting, the parties discussed preparations and upcoming tasks related to the World Urban Forum (WUF13), which will be held in Baku in May. It was noted that nearly 15,000 delegates have already registered to participate in the forum, demonstrating strong international interest in the event. The sides emphasized that WUF13 will serve as an important global platform for discussing key challenges in sustainable urban development and housing policy.
The meeting also reviewed prospects for expanding cooperation between Azerbaijan and UN-Habitat. In particular, the parties held a detailed exchange of views on joint projects being implemented in the Garabagh and East Zangezur economic regions.
