BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 11. Condition of person injured in mine explosion in Aghdara disclosed, TurkicWorld reports citing the Barda Central District Hospital.
It is reported that following a mine incident that occurred in the territory of the village of Gyzyloba in the Aghdara district, liberated from occupation, a man born in 1988 was hospitalized on January 11, 2026, at around 14:40 in the emergency department of the Barda Central District Hospital.
The patient was diagnosed with blast trauma and a traumatic amputation of the lower third of the right leg. He is currently undergoing surgery, and his condition is assessed as stable.

An employee of a non-governmental organization involved in humanitarian demining operations, Elvin Karimov, born in 1988, was injured after triggering an anti-personnel mine while performing his official duties. As a result of the incident, the victim’s right leg was amputated at the ankle.
Elvin Karimov was evacuated to the central district hospital. His condition is assessed as satisfactory.
