Six Kazakhstanis were onboard of Azerbaijan Airlines’ plane that crashed near Aktau

Six nationals of Kazakhstan were traveling onboard the Azerbaijan Airlines’ plane en route Baku-Grozny that crashed today, December 25, near the city of Aktau, Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency reports.

The flight J2-8243 was operated by Embraer 190 aircraft.

According to preliminary information, 37 nationals of Azerbaijan, six from Kazakhstan, three from Kyrgyzstan and 16 from Russia were onboard the plane.

The plane was carrying 67 people, including five crew members.

According to preliminary information, 25 people survived the crash, of which 22 were rushed to hospital.

150 responders and 45 units of equipment are deployed at the crash site.

As earlier reported, a plane crashed today near Aktau, Kazakhstan. 52 personnel and 11 units of equipment of the Kazakh Emergencies Ministry rushed to the site.
