Bishkek, Feb. 4, 2022 . / Kabar /. The 2nd Global Mountain Summit is planned to be held in Kyrgyzstan, Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of the country Dinara Kutmanova told during a press conference at Kabar News Agency.
She added that the event will be held within the framework of implementation of the Presidential Decree "On Declaring 2022 the Year of Mountain Ecosystems Protection and Climate Sustainability”.
The first summit was held in Bishkek in 2002 during the International Year of Mountains.
"The event is planned at the highest level, with the participation of all mountain countries. One of the main theses of the summit will be the creation of a separate climate fund of mountain countries," Kutmanova said.
