KAZAN, Russia, October 24. An online platform for global cooperation on smart customs of the BRICS countries will be created, President of China Xi Jinping said at the first plenary session of the XVI BRICS Plus summit in Kazan today, TurkicWorld reports.
"Recently, a Global Alliance for Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence for Industry and Production was opened in Shanghai. We will also create an online platform for global cooperation on smart customs and a demonstration center for the customs of BRICS countries," he also said.
According to him, in the three years since the BRICS initiative for global development was proposed, approximately $20 billion has already been mobilized as a development fund to implement over 1,100 projects.
"The Global South has emerged for development and is strengthening through this process. We should be a driving force for universal development, actively participate, and play a guiding role in reforming the global economic governance system, promoting the theme of development to a central place in the international trade and economic agenda," he emphasized.
