BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 18. The third day of the European Championship on "TeamGym," making its debut in Baku, has kicked off today, TurkicWorldreports.
According to the information, on the third day of the tournament, five youth teams took center stage on the "TeamGym" carpet, showcasing their skills on the acrobatic track and bouncing high on the small trampoline.
The Danish team snagged the gold medal with a total of 56.300 points across three programs. With 53.550 points, the Swedish team earned silver, while the Norwegians took bronze with 52.700 points, putting their best foot forward.
The teams from Iceland, with a score of 46,000, and Great Britain, at 44,800, found themselves in fourth and fifth place, respectively, in the grand scheme of things.
The winners were then recognized at an awards ceremony. The National Gymnastics Arena was the site of the event, where the top three teams were awarded medals and prizes.
Today will also reveal the female and mixed team champions.
To note, the tournament, featuring 498 athletes hailing from 14 countries, with 268 adults and 230 juniors in the mix, is set to wrap up on October 19.
