Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan to strengthen co-op in agricultural sector

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan Bakyt Torobaev met with Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Aidarbek Saparov.

During the meeting the sides discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation in agriculture, including the development of trade relations and investment projects, the press service of the Cabinet reported.

Torobayev emphasized the importance of strengthening partnership between the two countries in the agricultural sector, noting the significant potential for joint work in the processing of agricultural products, the development of logistics chains and the introduction of modern technologies.

In turn, Saparov confirmed the readiness of Kazakhstan to further develop cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in agriculture, noting the importance of sharing experience and investing in joint projects.

The two ministers also considered concrete steps to implement the agreements, including the supply of agricultural products and the participation of Kazakh investors in projects to develop the agricultural sector of Kyrgyzstan.

At the conclusion of the meeting, they expressed confidence that strengthening cooperation in agriculture will contribute to the further development of bilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
