Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov took part in the international forum “Interconnection of Times and Civilizations – the Basis of Peace and Development,” dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Turkmen poet and thinker Makhtumkuli Fragi.
Speaking at the forum President Zhaparov said that celebrating the 300th anniversary of the poet, we realize how closely our traditions are intertwined.
“Our Turkmen brothers can be proud that Makhtumkuli Fragi is not just a name in history; he is a symbol of the spirit of freedom, humanity and high morality, whose ideas and creativity have become a bridge between times, peoples and civilizations.
In his poems, he called on people to be morally pure, to have such high human qualities as patriotism, humanism, courage, honor and dignity.
Magtymguly Fragi personifies the very interconnection of times and civilizations that shapes the future and present of our nations,” he said.
