President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov has arrived in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan for a working visit.
The plane of the Kyrgyz leader landed at the international airport of the Turkmen capital, his press service said.
President Zhaparov was met by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Baimyrad Annamamedov and other officials.
A carpet was laid at the airport and a guard of honor was lined up. Children in national costumes greeted Zhaparov and presented him with flowers.
The Kyrgyz leader, invited by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedow, will attend theinternational forum “Interconnection of Times and Civilizations - Basis of Peace and Development”, timed to the 300th anniversary of Turkmen poet and philosopher Makhtumkuli Fraghi.
