SHUSHA, Azerbaijan, October 8. The fourth gathering of the health ministers from both member and observer nations of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), taking place in Shusha, has put pen to paper on the joint declaration as the concluding document, TurkicWorld reports.
The document laid its cards on the table, highlighting crucial areas like the green light for the 2024 action plan by the OTS working group on healthcare cooperation, the birth of a Unified Medical Scientific Space for member states and observers, the undertaking of joint scientific research, and the setting of unified medical education standards.
Moreover, the declaration emphasized the importance of cross-border exchange of medical data on patient health, with the development of unified standards for digital healthcare within the OTS, in accordance with the national legislation of the member states and observers.
The declaration also highlighted the significance of the signed "Protocol of intent to establish the Turktransplant System" and the memoranda of understanding between higher medical educational institutions of the member states and observers.
Following the IV gathering of the health ministers from the OTS member states and observers, it was agreed that the next roundtable for the health ministers will be held in Kazakhstan.
The IV meeting has been organized jointly by the OTS and the Azerbaijani Ministry of Health.
