BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 8. The State Committee for Work with the Diaspora of Azerbaijan held a board meeting to review the progress made during the first 9 months of 2024, TurkicWorld reports.
The Committee Chairman Fuad Muradov delivered an opening speech outlining the projects implemented during the reporting period and the activities of the Azerbaijani diaspora.
He emphasized that the care and attention of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva toward diaspora activities, as well as the efforts to ensure the country's territorial integrity, have generated significant enthusiasm among compatriots. He noted that the directives and recommendations from the President serve as the foundational principles guiding the diaspora's activities.
The meeting included reports from the relevant departments of the committee and the Fund for Support of the Azerbaijani Diaspora. They provided updates on significant projects, conferences, specialized forums, and various events conducted both domestically and internationally.
Following the reports, the board members discussed the upcoming tasks for the last quarter of 2024, the action plan for 2025, and the direction of future activities, highlighting new objectives.
The board meeting concluded with the presentation of medals to committee employees, awarded by the decree of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
