BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 9. The Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) has reported the discovery of 86 new mines from September 2 through September 8 in liberated territories,TurkicWorld reports via ANAMA.
According to ANAMA, significant demining operations were conducted in various regions, including Terter, Aghdere, Kalbajar, Aghdam, Khojaly, Khankendi, Khojavend, Lachin, Shusha, Fuzuli, Gubadli, Jabrayil, and Zangilan.
The operations led to the identification and neutralization of 21 antipersonnel mines, 65 antitank mines, and 1,586 unexploded ordnance (UXO).
"Over the past week, we have cleared 907.1 hectares of land from mines and unexploded ordnance," ANAMA reported.
