BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 8. On September 8, the opening ceremony of the 5th World Nomad Games was held in Astana, TurkicWorld reports.
The ceremony was held at the Astana Arena stadium with the participation of 3,000 artists.
Azerbaijani athletes took part in this opening ceremony. Azerbaijan is represented at the competition by 54 athletes in 8 sports.
The 5th World Nomad Games will last until September 13. About 2,800 athletes from 89 countries are expected to take part in the event. 97 sets of medals in 21 sports will be contested at the games.
