BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 4. Employees of the State Committee on Work with the Diaspora of Azerbaijan met with members of the board of the Azerbaijani-American Youth Federation (AAYF) during a visit to the US, TurkicWorld reports.
The meeting brought together Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora Elshad Aliyev, Head of Department at the Diaspora Committee Salhat Abbasova, the committee employee Zaur Salmanov, employee of the Permanent Mission of Azerbaijan to the UN Javid Ismayilov, AAYF Social Media Director Leyla Aslanova, and board members.
Aliyev spoke about the diaspora policy of the Azerbaijani state and the activities of the committee.
He noted that a patriotic youth has formed among Azerbaijanis abroad, characterized by high intellectual levels and the ability to easily integrate into the societies in which they live.
Besides, he expressed confidence that the new generation of the diaspora will play an important role in developing relations between countries and will advocate for the position and interests of Azerbaijan.
Aslanova briefed attendees about the organization's future plans and goals.
She thanked the committee for its support of the first Azerbaijani-American Youth Forum, emphasizing that members of her organization received an invitation and successfully held the event.
The meeting included a broad exchange of views on expanding the organization's membership, increasing member activity, and implementing various projects.
