BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 14. Azerbaijan’s Shamakhi will host the traditional Grape and Wine Festival on September 7-8, TurkicWorld reports.
The festival will take place in Meysari village, Shamakhi district, supported by the State Agency for Tourism and the executive authority of the district.
Visitors can register for the festival on the iTicket.az website. Transportation will be provided from the Heydar Aliyev Center to the festival venue.
Now in its third year, the festival aims to promote Azerbaijan's domestic grapes and winemaking, highlight the history of viticulture in the country, and showcase progress in the area.
Held at the Shirvan Wines LLC viticulture and winemaking complex, the festival will feature exhibitions on viticulture, winemaking, and tourism potential. Attendees can enjoy entertainment and show programs, and taste wines from domestic and international producers. Grape processing and wine production plants will display their products, which can be purchased at affordable prices.
The festival offers winemakers a platform to establish new business connections and promote their products to a broad audience.
The Grape and Wine Festival is a popular event among locals and tourists alike. Shamakhi was chosen for its significance as an agrarian hub and its reputation as a center for winemaking and viticulture. This event aligns with Azerbaijan’s state programs to advance viticulture and supports the country’s policies in the sector.
