Lachin V Summer Camp for Diaspora Youth

Azerbaijan's summer youth camp brainstorms ideas on diaspora

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 7. The latest panel discussion at the V Summer Camp for Diaspora Youth in Azerbaijan's Lachin has been dedicated to the topic "There is an Idea for the Diaspora," TurkicWorld reports.

The panel discussion, moderated by Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Information and Communication Technologies Industry Association Elvin Abbasov, featured guests including Ilgar Jafarov, head of MaxTexno, ICT expert; Sakit Samadov, chairman of the Board of Destec Group, advisor to the rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industrial University, business consultant; and Safar Aslanov, expert in strategic communications.

The guests, who have been around the block, had a ball engaging in an interesting back-and-forth with the participants, brainstorming ways to put the country on the map and swapping stories about their experiences in this field.

The camp participants put their heads together to brainstorm some ideas on business opportunities that would really put the country on the map and take the diaspora to the next level.

The event really drove home the point about how crucial it is to nurture the younger generation in the realms of information technology, digitalization, cybersecurity, and other relevant fields to keep up with the times.

The camp participants were all ears during each lecture, firing off questions left and right.

To note, the V Summer Camp of Diaspora Youth "Youth for a Green World" is being conducted on the ancient Azerbaijani land of Lachin. The State Committee for Work with the Diaspora, in collaboration with the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, is organizing the event from August 1–7.
