The first panel of the Fourth Summer Camp of Diaspora Youth held within “the Year of Heydar Aliyev” in Nakhchivan was dedicated to the topic “Life path of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev”, TurkicWorld reports.

MP, full member of ANAS, Doctor of Philology, Professor Rafael Huseynov, former Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Hasan Hasanov, former Minister of Foreign Affairs and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Bosnia and Herzegovina Vilayat Guliyev spoke about Heydar Aliyev’s life and services at the panel moderated by Fuad Muradov, Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora.

Welcoming the panel participants and guests, the Chairman of the State Committee spoke about the exceptional role of Heydar Aliyev, the architect and founder of an independent Azerbaijan, in the history of the country.

It was emphasized that organizing the panel on the topic "Life path of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev" is of great importance from the standpoint of informing the Camp participants about the historical services of the prominent statesman.

It was mentioned that the information provided by the people, who were in the same team with Heydar Aliyev, would be a valuable database for young people.

Emphasizing that Heydar Aliyev's re-ascension to the political arena started from the ancient lands of Nakhchivan, Hasan Hasanov noted that Heydar Aliyev, who led Azerbaijan during the Soviet period, knew that the independence of Azerbaijan was not far away.

Speaking about Heydar Aliyev's services in the fields of foreign policy and diaspora building, Vilayat Guliyev noted that diaspora organizations abroad reached the point that Heydar Aliyev wanted several years ago.

Rafael Huseynov said that Heydar Aliyev always met Azerbaijanis during his visits to foreign countries and gave his recommendations. "I personally witnessed it. The national leader is one of the historical personalities with exceptional services.", told Rafael Huseynov.

The camp participants and the panelists had an interesting debate. Camp participants addressed a large number of questions to the guests regarding Heydar Aliyev's political activity and role in the history of Azerbaijan, as well as the history of Azerbaijan, the preservation of the Azerbaijani language, the development of national ideology, national identity and other topics.

Diaspora youth expressed their gratitude for organizing such an interesting panel.

At the end of the event, a book dedicated to the brilliant and charismatic personality Heydar Aliyev, as well as an atlas covering the history and geography of Azerbaijan, were presented to the camp participants.
