BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 14. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has decided to transfer the full $500,000 monetary component of the 2026 Zayed Award for Human Fraternity to the Karabakh Revival Fund.
On September 14, Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders Mohamed Abdelsalam presented President Aliyev with the certificate for the Zayed Award for Human Fraternity during their meeting.
The Azerbaijani Presidential Press Service reported that Aliyev received the award in recognition of his efforts toward achieving peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Under the terms of the award, the Azerbaijani president is to receive a monetary prize of $500,000.
Aliyev has decided to transfer the entire amount to the Karabakh Revival Fund.
