BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 22. Tashkent is preparing for the official visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, with the Uzbek capital displaying symbols of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan ahead of the visit.
Emin Aliyev, editor-in-chief of Trend News Agency, who is currently in Tashkent, shared a video showing preparations under way in the city.
According to Aliyev, billboards and banners in central areas of the Uzbek capital have been decorated with the national symbols of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
The displays also feature portraits of the leaders of the two countries, reflecting the official nature and importance attached to the upcoming visit.
Preparations in Tashkent come amid the continued strengthening of relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan and the expansion of cooperation across political, economic and regional areas.
The visit is expected to provide another opportunity for Baku and Tashkent to discuss the development of bilateral relations and further deepen their strategic partnership.
