BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 20, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev held a meeting with Michael Harms, Chairman of the German Eastern Business Association, in Berlin on July 20.
During the meeting, the growing interest of Azerbaijani and German entrepreneurs and companies in expanding joint activities was highlighted. The sides discussed ways to institutionalize business cooperation and create stronger mechanisms for partnership.
Views were exchanged on existing opportunities in traditional and renewable energy, as well as connectivity, transport, and logistics projects, including the Middle Corridor initiative.
The parties also discussed the implementation of advanced German technologies in Azerbaijan’s agricultural sector. The prospects for cooperation in the field of smart agriculture were particularly emphasized within the framework of Azerbaijan’s state agricultural development programs.
The meeting also included discussions on utilizing Azerbaijan’s tourism potential and other issues of mutual interest.
