BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, November 15. Kyrgyzstan exported 141,619 tons of oil products worth $91.233 million from January through August 2024, TurkicWorld reports.
According to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, the volume of these exports increased by 32.9 percent compared to 106,555 tons in the same period of 2023.
The value of the exports rose by 43.3 percent compared to $63.649 million in January–August 2023.
Most of Kyrgyzstan's oil exports—67,881 tons worth $47.825 million—went to Türkiye. Uzbekistan was the second-largest importer, bringing in 47,979 tons valued at $13.458 million.
Kyrgyzstan's trade turnover amounted to $10.6 billion from January through August 2024, which is a 9 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023. Exports rose by 13.1 percent year-on-year, totaling $2.1 billion. Meanwhile, imports increased by 8.1 percent to $8.5 billion.
