BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 17. Kazakhstan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Murat Nurtleu, announced the planned visit of Hungarian President Tamás Sulyok to Kazakhstan this year during a press conference held as part of a meeting with Hungary's Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Foreign Affairs, Péter Szijjártó, TurkicWorld reports.
Today, Hungary's Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Foreign Affairs, Péter Szijjártó, arrived in Kazakhstan for an official visit. During his visit, he held talks with Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs Murat Nurtleu in both a narrow and expanded format.
Nurtleu stated that Kazakhstan is interested in developing long-term and strong relations with Budapest, focused on supporting pragmatic and mutual interests.
"Our bilateral relations, revived over the past 30 years, are characterized by substantive political dialogue, intensive trade, economic, and investment cooperation, as well as broad cultural and humanitarian ties. In particular, the reciprocal visits of Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán strengthen political dialogue and always bring dynamism to our interaction," said the Kazakh Minister of Foreign Affairs in a joint statement to the press following the negotiations.
As for political matters, this year, visits by Hungarian President Tamás Sulyok and Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament László Kövér to Kazakhstan are planned," announced Nurtleu.
Currently, the Kazakhstan-Hungary investment portfolio encompasses a total of 18 initiatives, aggregating an estimated value of around $900 million across diverse sectors including energy, agriculture, logistics, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, and information technology.
