The presentation of the book "Fuzuli – 530 lines", published by the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation in the Kazakh language on the occasion of the 530th anniversary of Muhammad Fuzuli

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 25. Within the framework of the Days of Culture of Azerbaijan, organized on September 23-26, 2024 in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted a presentation of the book "Fuzuli-530 lines" published by the Foundation of Turkic Culture and Heritage in the Kazakh language, and a literary and poetic meeting on the topic "Fuzuli – 530", TurkicWorld reports.

It should be noted that the book of the great Azerbaijani poet, the classic of Turkic literature Muhammad Fuzuli, which includes 22 ghazals and 6 kasyds - 530 lines, is dedicated to the 530th anniversary of the poet. The purpose of the publication of the book by the Foundation is to further popularize the legacy of the great poet in Kazakhstan, as well as to promote the deepening of Azerbaijani-Kazakh literary and cultural ties. The head and author of the project is the President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Professor Aktoty Raimkulova.

The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, scientists, cultural figures of the two countries and other guests.

Speaking at the presentation president of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Aktoty Raimkulova noted that the historical Decree signed on January 25 this year by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev on the celebration of the 530th anniversary of Muhammad Fuzuli creates new opportunities for studying and promoting the heritage of Fuzuli.
Aktoty Raimkulova underlined the significance of such publications in terms of the integration of Turkic languages: "We must return to the works of our classics, to their spirit, to our national identity."

In the artistic part of the event, the reader, actor from Azerbaijan Huseynagha Aslanov and actress Jala Novruzova performed Fuzuli ghazals. Azerbaijani khanande – laureates of national and international competitions Orhan Huseynli and Leyla Rahimova performed mughams on the Fizuli ghazals. Actors from Kazakhstan Kazbek Iskara and Guldana Alikhan presented samples of translations of Fuzuli's poems into Kazakh. The readers were accompanied by Honored Artist of Azerbaijan Toghrul Asadullayev (kamancha) and laureate of national and international competitions Ibrahim Babayev (tar).
