ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 3. As of July 31, 2024, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has a project portfolio in Kazakhstan valued at 3 billion euros, covering 122 active projects, TurkicWorld reports.
According to the bank's data, investments in sustainable infrastructure projects make up 71 percent of the total portfolio, with their value rising to 2.07 billion euros.
The EBRD's portfolio also allocates 21 percent to industrial, trade, and agricultural projects, amounting to 624 million euros.
Investments in the financial sector have increased to 8 percent of the portfolio, with the investment volume growing from 203 million euros to 222 million euros.
In total, the bank has invested over 10.3 billion euros across 327 projects in Kazakhstan.
Kazakhstan represents the EBRD's largest and longest-standing banking operation in Central Asia.
