ASTANA, Kazakhstan, August 27. KazMunayGas JSC (KMG, Kazakhstan's national oil and gas company) and Shell Oil and Gas Company discussed the construction project of a gas processing plant (GPP) at the Karachaganak field, TurkicWorld reports.
According to information, the discussions were held during a meeting between KMG Chairman of the Board Askhat Khassenov and the Executive Vice President of Exploration and Production of the Oil and Gas Division of Shell Peter Costello, and the Chairperson of Shell in Kazakhstan Ali Al Janabi.
The meeting discussed the implementation of the important Karachaganak GPP construction project for processing 4.5 bcm of gas per year.
The participants of the meeting also discussed further development of the Kashagan field, issues of further development of new directions for oil export, and joint geological research.
At the end of the meeting, the parties emphasized further strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation between the companies.
