Kazakhstan, Türkiye eye cooperation in space programs

Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Türkiye Yerkebulan Sapiyev and Minister of Industry and Technology of Türkiye Mehmet Fatih Kacır discussed significant issues and plans for this year in the field of industry, space and IT, as well as exchanged views on enhancing investment partnership, Kazinform News Agency has learnt from the press service of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry.

Informing about the spaceflight of the first Turkish astronaut and his scientific mission, the Turkish Minister emphasized the need to develop relations in the field of space programs both bilaterally and within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States. In this context, the Minister emphasized that the first Turkic astronaut was Kazakh and hence highlighted the rich experience of Kazakhstan in space exploration.

The Ambassador, noting the experience of Türkiye in industry development, informed about the investment attractiveness of Kazakhstan, as well as the convenience of energy and raw materials. In this regard, he invited to transfer Turkish production enterprises to Kazakhstan.

Following the talks, an agreement was reached to further strengthen partnership in these areas of bilateral cooperation.
