Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov welcomed the high guest at the Airport of Astana, Kazinform News Agency reports via the Telegram channel of the Kazakh government.
During a short conversation, Smailov expressed confidence that the French President’s visit will give a new impetus to further development of the strategic partnership between Astana and Paris.
The two countries' leaders - Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Emmanuel Macron - are expected to discuss the issues of strengthening trade-economic, investment and energy cooperation, as well as international and regional issues.
