Kazakhstan humanitarian aid arrives at Balkh province of Afghanistan

A regular batch of humanitarian aid sent by Kazakhstan for the residents of quake-hit Herat arrived at the Hairatan railway station in Balkh province Afghanistan, Kazinform News Agency reports.

The aid weighing 1,662 tons was sent by 27 rail wagons and includes rice, flour, vegetable oil, canned milk products, mattresses, sheets, pillows, warm clothes, tents, pillowcases and beds.

On behalf of Afghan people, the administration of Balkh province thanked President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Government and people of Kazakhstan for regular and prompt humanitarian support and emphasized strong and friendly ties between the two nations.
