StarLink plans to provide satellite internet services to remote areas of Kazakhstan

Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held talks with Vice President of StarLink Business Operations at SpaceX Lauren Dreyer on the sidelines of the Digital Bridge 2023 Forum in Astana, Kazinform cites the Akorda press service.

Greeting Lauren Dreyer on the margins of the forum, President Tokayev praised SpaceX as one of the global leaders in the sphere of space telecommunications.

According to President, SpaceX technologies have become strategic instruments in stimulation of high technologies. Kazakhstan considers SpaceX as a reliable partner in bilateral mutually profitable cooperation.

For her part, Lauren Dreyer briefed President Tokayev on StarLink’s plans to expand its activity in Kazakhstan, including as part of the project to offer satellite internet services to remote areas of the country.
