The conference, held on April 23-25, brought together around 300 representatives from companies specializing in the development of the gas industry.

SOCAR Deputy Vice President Vitaly Beglyarbekov, bp Vice President for the Caspian region Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli, and TAP delegate Maria Savova all advocated for Azerbaijan's interests at this international gathering.

In their speeches, they underlined the development of the Shah Deniz field.

Maria Savova, commercial director of TAP AG, remarked during the conference that TAP's capacity to export Azerbaijani gas to Europe may be increased gradually.

Beglyarbekov mentioned that the first stage of the increase will start in January 2026 (by 1.2 bcm) and refers to the growth of TAP throughput capacity to 14 bcm per year from the current 12 bcm.
Meanwhile, gas from Shah Deniz (1 billion cubic meters) is also included in this stage of the TAP capacity increase.
