BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 28. The issues of cooperation between SOCAR and Uniper were discussed in Baku, the statement of the press service of SOCAR said, TurkicWorld reports.
“President of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Rovshan Najaf met with Carsten Poppinga, member of the Board of Directors and Chief Commercial Officer of Uniper. During the meeting, the sides discussed opportunities for further strengthening of the existing strategic partnership relations between SOCAR and Uniper on a wide range of topics related to the energy business and “green” agenda,” the statement reads.
In particular, the parties noted the successful realization of the agreement between the companies on the sale and purchase of natural gas produced at the Shah Deniz field and discussed issues of expanding cooperation in the field of gas supply.
Besides the oil and gas sector, the sides exchanged views on the development of cooperation in the spheres of energy transition, energy efficiency improvement, and other issues of mutual interest.
