BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 23. The growth rate of the transport and warehousing sector in Azerbaijan increased during the first four months of this year, TurkicWorld reports via the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.
The value added generated by the sector amounted to 2.8 billion manat ($1.6 billion). This figure is 4.5% or 240.9 million manat ($141.7 million) higher in real terms compared to the corresponding period of 2025.
As a result, the transport and warehousing sector’s share of GDP increased by 0.5 percentage points compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, reaching 7.3%, while its share of non-oil/gas GDP stood at 10.4%.
During the same period, the sector’s revenue in real terms grew by 4.6% and amounted to 4.7 billion manat ($2.7 billion).
The positive trend observed indicates that the projects being implemented in the country to modernize road and transport infrastructure and develop urban mobility, as well as investments in this sector, are yielding tangible results. At the same time, this demonstrates that Azerbaijan is strengthening its position as a competitive logistics hub in the region and successfully realizing its transit potential.
