Trans-Caspian International Transport Route meets high requirements - Kazakh PM

The Trans-Caspian International Transport Route meets the high requirements of supply security and is able to fully meet the demand for transcontinental cargo delivery, Kazakh Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov said, TurkicWorld reports via the Kazakh government.

Smailov made the remark at the opening ceremony of the plenary session of the Forum for Asia in China’s Boao on April 21.

This year, the forum is held under the motto "The World in COVID-19 and Beyond: Working Together for Global Development and Shared Future".

Speaking at the event, the prime minister noted the importance of maintaining a high level of cooperation within the framework of the “One Belt, One Road” initiative.

"Kazakhstan, being a key link in the Silk Road Economic Belt, will intensify work to ensure the uninterrupted provision of international transit traffic. In this regard, we offer foreign partners to actively connect to the use of the Trans-Caspian international transport route," added Smailov.
