IMF Approves $1.4 Billion in Emergency Funding for Ukraine

The Board of Executive Directors of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) approved the decision to provide Ukraine with additional financing in the amount of $1.4 billion under the Rapid Financing Instrument (RFI) emergency support program, the press service of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) said, TurkicWorld reports with reference to local media.

It is noted that the funds received under the RFI program will help finance the priority expenditures of the state budget and support Ukraine's balance of payments.

"We are grateful to the Foundation for the quick response to our appeal and hope for the speedy completion of all procedures related to the receipt of funds. The urgent support of international partners in such a difficult time for our country is extremely important," NBU Governor Kyrylo Shevchenko stressed.
