BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 16. The land plot owned by the state in the administrative territory of Fuzuli district has been defined as a territory of renewable energy sources, TurkicWorld reports.
The corresponding order was signed by Prime Minister Ali Asadov.
According to the order, the land plot of 482.0 ha in state ownership is defined as a territory of renewable energy sources for the construction of a solar power plant with a capacity of 160 megawatts.
The Ministry of Energy must implement measures to select the producer of electric energy in the territory of renewable energy sources, defined by this order, following the requirements of the "Procedure for selecting the producer of electric energy in the territory of renewable energy sources" approved by the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 2285 dated August 2, 2023.
Since the date of entry into force of this order, the permit for construction of a solar power plant on a land plot with an area of 482.0 ha, defined as an area of renewable energy sources for electricity generation, shall be granted under the Urban Planning and Construction Code of the Azerbaijan Republic within the term stipulated by the Law of the Azerbaijan Republic "On the Use of Renewable Energy Sources for Electricity Generation".
The State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture must notify the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan within three days from the date of issuance of the construction permit and, in case of failure to issue the construction permit within the established term, within three days from the date of expiration of the term.
