BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 15. Azerbaijan is implementing strategically significant projects in the field of renewable energy in the region, Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said at the Ministerial Meeting on the COP29 Energy Initiatives, TurkicWorld reports.
"The world has entered a critical phase in the field of climate and energy. Meeting at this critical moment, we have a historic opportunity to define the future of global energy. Through today's initiatives, we will demonstrate our commitment to a rapid transition to renewable energy.
With the strong support of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in the transition to clean energy, the initiative to create green energy zones in Karabakh, Eastern Zangezur, and Nakhchivan, and the creation of a diversified energy infrastructure to supply green energy from the Caspian Sea to Europe, our country is implementing strategically significant renewable energy projects in the region.
These efforts are aimed not only at creating a clean energy future for Azerbaijan but also serve as a driving force behind COP29 initiatives to accelerate the growth of green energy and overcome barriers both regionally and globally," he said.
