BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 11. The regular meeting of the Economic Council was held on October 10, TurkicWorld reports via Azerbaijan's Cabinet of Ministers.
The meeting held under the leadership of the Chairman of the Economic Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Prime Minister Ali Asadov, based on the assignments arising from the meeting on economic issues held on September 26 under the chairmanship of President Ilham Aliyev, held a broad discussion of administrative and criminal liability measures in connection with the "Rules of regulation of import-export operations in the Republic of Azerbaijan" and the state of import of funds received in the country within 180 days following the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Chairman of the State Customs Committee Shahin Baghirov, Governor of the Central Bank Taleh Kazimov, and Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev addressed the issue.
Furthermore, the second agenda item, concerning matters pertaining to the Closed Joint Stock Company "Southern Gas Corridor," was thoroughly examined, and the presentations by Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov, SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf, and State Oil Fund Executive Director Israfil Mammadov were reviewed.
The members of the Economic Council engaged in dynamic dialogues on the presented issues.
In light of the meeting outcomes, strategic decisions were formulated, leveraging the insights from the Economic Council members, and actionable directives were disseminated to the specialized units.
