BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 10. bp will reduce emissions in Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Türkiye by 11 percent thanks to projects in the field of renewable energy, a representative of bp's regional structure in Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Türkiye, Ayten Hajiyeva said at the "INMerge Innovation Summit" organized by PASHA Holding for the fourth time, TurkicWorld reports.
"As you know, bp has recently signed an agreement with SOCAR and Azerbaijan Investment Company. Within the framework of the agreement, it is planned to implement the Shafag project for the construction of a 240 MW solar power plant in Jabrayil district. In addition, bp intends to implement green energy at the Sangachal terminal. All these steps will reduce bp's emissions in the region by 11 percent," she said.
