BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 7. The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) is set to unveil an official report at Pre-COP29 in Baku, detailing global advancements in renewable energy capacity and the energy efficiency index aimed for 2030, IRENA shared on its X page, TurkicWorld reports.
"As custodian tasked with the tracking of progress of the UAE Consensus energy goals, IRENA and its partners will launch the official progress report on tripling renewables and doubling energy efficiency at the Pre-COP29 in Baku next week," the publication reads.
To note, Azerbaijan will host a Pre-COP29 event on October 10-11, and the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) will be held in Baku on November 11-22.
