BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 1. Azerbaijan has submitted a number of green energy projects for consideration by the World Climate Foundation (WCF), TurkicWorld reports via the Azerbaijani Energy Ministry.
"WCF President Jens Nielson and the Foundation's representative Ulviya Jalilzade discussed Azerbaijan's "green" energy projects during a meeting with Deputy Energy Minister Orkhan Zeynalov. The Azerbaijani side reported interest in cooperation with the World Climate Fund in this field," the report says without specifying other details.
Meanwhile, representatives of the Foundation are taking part in Baku Climate Action Week, which started on September 30 and will last until the end of this week.
The World Climate Foundation belongs to one of the UN structures and is among the organizers of the 29th session of the Conference of Parties (COP) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (as well as other COPs).
COP29 will be held in Baku on November 11-22, and climate finance is among the main issues of this session.
