BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 18. Promoting the Middle Corridor must be everyone's top priority, Commercial Director of Romania's national rail freight company CFR Marfă S.A., Renata Godja said in a statement at the session titled "International Transport Corridors in the Black and Caspian Seas" at the Black Sea-Caspian Freight Forum 2024 in Baku, TurkicWorld reports.
Godja drove home the point that bringing rules and customs procedures into alignment is the key to unlocking the corridor's full potential.
"We must actively promote this route, as it holds immense potential for all participants. The National Transport Operator of Romania is ready to do everything possible to develop this direction, equipped to handle all cargo coming from Asia to Europe and back," she noted.
To note, the Middle Corridor links the container rail freight transportation networks of China and European Union countries via Central Asia, the Caucasus, Türkiye, and Eastern Europe.
