BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 17. Azerbaijan and Iraq have discussed joint activities in the implementation of infrastructure projects, TurkicWorld reports.
According to the Azerbaijani Economy Ministry, minister Mikayil Jabbarov held a meeting with Iraqi Trade Minister Atheer Daoud Al-Ghurairy.
Meanwhile, it was noted at the meeting that relations with Iraq are developing on an upward trend, and there are favorable conditions for the expansion of bilateral trade and economic cooperation in various directions.
Furthermore, it was emphasized that Iraqi companies carry out business activities in Azerbaijan in various spheres. Azerbaijani companies can also expand their participation in infrastructure projects in Iraq. There are good prospects for the development of relations in trade, industry, energy, transportation, the private sector, tourism, and other areas.
The sides assessed the opportunities for the development of trade and economic relations, mutual investments, and cooperation.
The meeting emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between business entities, increasing trade turnover, and supporting joint activities in the implementation of infrastructure projects.
