Turkmenistan's petrochemical exports gain momentum on commodity exchange

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 16. Turkmenistan's State Commodity Exchange on September 10 concluded 15 major deals in the petrochemical sector totaling more than $33 million,TurkicWorld reports.

According to the exchange, Turkmennebit State Concern sold liquefied gas to the UAE for $146.970 and also sold SN-180 oil for a total of more than $3.056 million in three trades.

Tajikistan and Uzbekistan purchased A-92 gasoline from the concern for the sum of $1.66 million each. In addition, Uzbekistan purchased aviation kerosene TS-1 for more than $2 million.

The State Concern "Turkmenhimiya" realized large supplies of ECO 93 gasoline to Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Türkiye, and the UAE.

Afghanistan purchased ECO 93 for a total of more than $16.450 million in four bids. Uzbekistan made a deal for $1.259 million, Pakistan for $3.1 million, Türkiye for $629,500, and the UAE secured a deal worth $3.14 million.

The State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan, established on July 29, 1994, remains a key body for regulating goods export-import operations.

From January through July 2024, the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange held 174 trading sessions, registering 16,821 contracts.
