TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, July 14. The Agency for Quarantine and Plant Protection of Uzbekistan held a meeting with Latvian experts, the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan says, TurkicWorld reports.
According to the information, the parties discussed the further development of cooperation between the countries.
It is reported that the project “Improving the phytosanitary system to increase the export of Uzbekistan’s products”, financed by the Latvian government, has been launched.
It is noted that at the first stage, Latvian experts will conduct research and give recommendations on plant protection, soil analysis, fertilizers and other key aspects for both countries.
One of the priority areas of cooperation will be scientific research for the exchange of experience between Uzbekistan and Latvia.
The parties agreed to conduct regular visits of Uzbek and Latvian specialists to exchange knowledge and experience.
